From the Layout Builder to the various meta boxes our theme adds, there’s so much you can do with your posts and pages.
Page Attributes
With your Theme Blvd theme, you’ll find nine standard page templates.
- Archives: Great for SEO, this page template will display links to your last 30 posts, and your post archives.
- Blank Page: Display a page with just your content; this is great for an aside landing page, or a coming soon page.
- Blog: Display posts in a blog style.
- Custom Layout: Select this page template to enable our layout builder interface.
- Post Grid: Display posts in a post grid style.
- Post List: Display posts in a post list style.
- Post Showcase: Display posts in a post showcase style.
- Redirect: For an easy way to redirect a URL, simply select this page template and replace the content with the URL you want the page to forward to.
- Sitemap: Also great for SEO, this page template will display links to all of your pages.
And completely separate from the page template you’ve selected, you can choose any of our sidebar layouts for the current page.
Custom Layout
If you’re running our Layout Builder plugin, built exclusively for Theme Blvd themes, selecting the « Custom Layout » page template will enhance your editing experience for the current page.
Page Options
With every page, comes our standard Page Options. You can choose to hide both the title of the page, and the breadcrumbs. You can also select how you’d like the featured image to be linked.
Post Options
And since we’re using WordPress, after all, we can’t forget about giving you the tools you need to write great blog posts.
Banner
Whether it’s a post or a page, you can utilize the Banner meta box to make it really stand out. Checkout a couple of live examples:
Example #1 — A post with a banner, including parallax background image and left-justified text.
Example #2 — A page with a banner, including parallax background image and center-justified text.
Example #3 — A page with a banner, including video background and center-justified text.
Theme Layout
In editing your pages and posts, you’ll also find this nifty Theme Layout meta box. It’ll allow you to hide the header or footer for any given page. But the coolest feature it gives you is the transparent header feature, which compliments the Banner meta box well.

Sidebar Overrides
When using our Widget Areas plugin, you can quickly swap in any custom widget area for the current page or post you’re editing with the Sidebar Overrides meta box. You can also set custom widgets areas to specific groups of pages, or sections of your website at a top-level from Appearance > Widget Areas of your WordPress admin. This is the power of that classic « unlimited sidebars » feature.
[alert]Note: From the widget area manager, custom sidebars can also be applied in bulk across your website. Designating a custom sidebar when editing an individual page, as shown above, is just one option.[/alert]
Featured Images
And of course, featured images are full supported on both pages and posts.
Post Template Options
When using any of the page templates that display posts, there are several custom fields you can use to customize what posts are displayed. Using the « Post Template Options » meta box will show you what custom fields are available to you, by presenting them as a set of user options.
